History

Jantzen Beach Quilts is the newest quilt shop in the Portland, OR/Vancouver, WA, trading area. It is the dream-child of owner Meg Branch, a long-time quilter whose original quilting designs and wearables have evolved over the years into a new line of patterns and quilt kits.
With the constant encouragement of friends and family, Meg decided to open her own shop when the last of her three children headed off for college. Dreaming big plus lots of careful planning paid off and Jantzen Beach Quilts opened for business in June, 2003. Meg's unique blend of quilting experience, elementary school teaching background, and a real gift with color and design is reflected in the merchandise she chooses for the shop. What you see in the Web store is simply the "best of the best," says Meg. As the business continues to grow, more and more great merchandise will be available for your on-line ordering convenience. Although quilting fabric is the primary focus, you'll find great buys on beautiful fashion fabrics, too-ones you'll love for crafting art quilts and beautiful wearables that are truly wearable.
Quality education is a top priority at Jantzen Beach Quilts. Meg has attracted a team of talented area quilting and sewing teachers to offer a wide range of classes. There's something for everyone in the new Fall schedule. You'll build and expand your skills while you enjoy sewing in a beautifully designed classroom with ergonomic work stations to make you right at home.
We hope you'll stop by to see our lovely new shop when you are in the area. Visit this website often for special offers, current class listings, and wonderful new products. Our "welcome mat" says:
"We Love Quilters…and Their Friends!"
